Vital Savings by Aetna

I've taken the guesswork out of shopping for affordable health insurance.  If you're looking for the cheapest health insurance, we've arranged our self-quoting Online Health Quote service to price Individual Health Insurance from the lowest price and up.  If you are looking for the best health insurance money can buy, I can assure you, from my own experience, these companies are tops.  If you're looking for an affordable health insurance quote, that won't strain your budget, but won't leave you overly exposed to a large deductible or coinsurance charges, you need look no further.  Back in the early days of my career I was approached to sell Individual Health Insurance by several carriers.  They offered flashy colorful brochures, and very low rates.  What I learned from this experience, was many of these fly by night insurance companies, weren't insurance companies at all.  They were association plans  who had purchased some reinsurance, and hoped for the best.  When things got tough financially for them, they simply closed up shop, cancelled all their account holders, and reopened with a new corporate name and identity.  Oftentimes their flashy colorful brochures looked exactly the same, as the shut down businesses.  These kind of operators are still around, but I refuse to let them waste my time.  So for about ten years of my career, I did not offer Individual Health Insurance to my clients.  As I gained knowledge and experience, I have been approached by only the best health insurance companies.  After learning the right way to offer individual health insurance, I began to reconsider my position, and signed on with Humana Health Insurance, Aetna Health Insurance, and Unicare Health Insurance.  So if you're shopping for an online health insurance quote, an online health insurance application, or online health insurance information, you have found the right place.  Within 30 seconds you will be viewing a menu of various coverage options for Individual health insurance.  At the top of the page, are filters.  You can shop for just HSA Compatible Health Insurance.  You can shop for policies with higher or lower deductibles.  You can view only plans with less than a certain premium range.  Either way we've made shopping for Online Health Insurance a snap!  The worst thing that can happen is, if after all that, you can still call me with your questions.  Not bad huh?  Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your source for Affordable Health Insurance.

Indemnity

Traditional health insurance that usually covers a percentage of the cost of care (often 80%) after the consumer pays a deductible. Individuals with indemnity coverage can choose any doctor or hospital for their care.  You are usually required to fill out your own claim forms, but this requirement may be waived, check with your physician or your healthcare provider.

Preferred Provider Organization (PPO)

A network of health care providers that have agreed to provide medical services to a health plan's members at negotiated costs. PPO members typically make their own decisions about their health care rather than going through a primary care physician like HMO member. The cost to use physicians within the PPO network tends to be less than using a non-network provider.
A Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) is an organization with member doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies.  Utilization of your chosen PPO's member services, saves you money on your co-payments, and entitles you to the best benefits in your individual health insurance policy.  You are given the opportunity to review which doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies are participating in your plan before you make your decision to buy.  A typical plan that pays 80% of your medical costs before your co-insurance limit, may only pay 60% of your medical costs if you get care from an unaffiliated healthcare provided.

 Point-of-Service (POS)

A Point-Of-Service plan is a type of managed care plan combining features of health maintenance organizations (HMOs) and preferred provider organizations (PPO's). You can decide whether to go to a network provider and pay a flat dollar amount or to an out-of-network provider and pay a deductible and a higher coinsurance amount.

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)

A Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO's) are prepaid health plans in which you pay a monthly premium and the HMO covers your cost of care to see doctors within their network at pre-negotiated rates. You must choose a primary care physician who coordinates all of your care and makes referrals to any specialists you might need. If you are an HMO member and you do not use the doctors, hospitals and clinics that participate in your plan's network, you will usually bear the cost of those medical services

Short Term Health Insurance
The purpose of  Short Term Health Insurance is to offer you immediate coverage for short term needs.  If you are:
  • Graduating from college, and are being removed from your parents' insurance.
  • Between jobs
  • Waiting for your permanent coverage to go into effect
  • Going to be laid off
There are any number of reasons to need Short Term Individual Health Insurance.  With Unicare's $2 million per member lifetime maximum benefit, you can be assured your financial dreams and goals won't be disrupted, as a result of a major illness or accident.  What's more, their plan offers some of the most affordable health insurance options to fit your budget.    When you are shopping for cheap health insurance online, you've arrived at the only insurance agency you may ever need.  Short-term is the most affordable health insurance you can purchase.  Keep in mind, pre-existing conditions are very unlikely to be covered with this sort of insurance plan.  If you are stricken with a serious, life threatening illness, this may not be the best health insurance program for you.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
Everyone with a high deductible health insurance plan can now save for medical expenses in a tax-deductible savings account!  The Medical Savings Account (MSA) plan of the past was expanded to the new Health Savings Account (HSA) on December 8, 2003.  If you have never looked at using Pre-Tax dollars to help pay your "out-of-pocket" medical expenses, you should take a look now.  You can always call us for more information.  The U.S. Department of the Treasury, has a webpage specifically designed to answer your questions.  When you obtain your online health insurance quote above, look for the piggy bank icon labeled HSA, for qualified HSA plans.  It is a tax-advantaged personal savings account used in conjunction with a high deductible health policy. Individuals can and should contribute money to this account on a pre-tax basis to set aside money for qualified medical care and expenses, including annual deductibles and copayments. Deposits into the account are not required.
